Every departure and every price, in Australian dollars, with nothing hidden behind an enquiry form. A $500 deposit per person holds your spot, and it is fully refundable for 14 days, no questions.
Prices are per person, twin share, and they include return flights, every stay, every meal, private transport, entry fees and your guides. If you’d rather talk it through than read a table, ring us. That’s what the number is for.

A group is never more than 12. When a date shows a number of spots left, that is the real number. When it says sold out, it’s sold out, and we won’t squeeze in a thirteenth seat.
What it costs
The only money you'll take out of your pocket is for a Bintang and a souvenir. One price covers the lot, and the price you see here is the price you pay.

Travelling on your own
The single supplement is the price of a room to yourself at every stay. It is written down here and on every package page, so there’s nothing to find on the invoice later. On the trip it is one long table at dinner and one small group in the cars, and the host makes a point of sitting with whoever is on their own that night.
Bringing the kids or the whole family
Child rates are by age bracket: under 2, 2 to 11, and 12 to 17. They sit alongside the room configurations, cots and high chairs on the Family Retreats page. Private groups of six or more get their own quote. See Family Retreats and Multigenerational trips for what is included.
Not in the price: travel insurance, which is compulsory and which we will help you choose, the visa on arrival, alcohol, spa treatments beyond the included one, and souvenirs. Every package page lists the full included and not-included columns side by side.
The best time to go
The honest answer is April to October, with April, May, September and October the sweet spot. Here is the month by month, so you can decide for yourself.
The dry season runs from about April to October. Days are warm, evenings in the hills are cool, and the rain mostly stays away. July and August are the busiest months and the popular spots fill up, which is why our itineraries go early and go where the buses do not.
The shoulder months, April and May and then September and October, have the same dry weather with fewer people. If you can pick your dates, pick these.
The wet season, November to March, is not what most people picture. It’s warm, the island is at its greenest, airfares are lower, and the rain usually comes as an afternoon shower rather than a washed-out day. We plan those days around it: temples and walks in the morning, then the pool, a massage or a cooking class when the clouds build. Deposit and payment plan
$500 per person secures your spot. It is fully refundable for 14 days, no questions.
You are deciding on a big trip, and you should be able to change your mind. Pay the deposit, sleep on it for two weeks, and if it’s not right, ring us and the $500 goes straight back to your account.
After 14 days the deposit is held against your booking and secures your seat on the flight, your room at every stay, and your place in a group of no more than 12.

How booking works
- Ring us, send a WhatsApp or use the enquiry form. Tell us who is coming and roughly when.
- We check the date you want and tell you honestly whether it fits, or whether another date would suit you better.
- We send you a booking form. You pay the $500 per person deposit and your spot is held.
- The balance is due [[NEEDS INPUT: final payment due date, e.g. 60 days before departure]]. If you’d rather spread it, ask about the payment plan.
- We send your flight details, the day-by-day itinerary and a packing list, and we’re on the phone for any question before you fly.

Changing or cancelling
Life happens. Here’s what it costs to change your mind, in plain English, before you pay anything.
Talk to us first. We’re a small business and we’ll always try to move you to another departure before anything else. The table below is the worst case, not the first thing we reach for.

Travel insurance covers the rest. It is compulsory on every trip, it’s not in the price, and it’s the thing that pays you back if illness, a family emergency or a cancelled flight stops you travelling.
